I have the paradox of choice while using Netflix but a FOMO I may lose out on good content if not subscribed which is a social proof/herd mentality. I guess the social proof is working out for ott platforms to attract users by adding a sea of contents but how they can solve the paradox of choice?

For conversion - How does one think about the quality of traffic and product issues? especially during onboarding when you have very little information about the user

For the quality of traffic, you can track the lead source. Generally, most of the leads that come from organic source are quality leads as compared to paid ones. Another approach can be to identify the power users and then backtrack to see how they are different from the non-power users by segmenting them on the basis of lead source, demographic, usage behavior etc.

And for the onboarding product issues, you can track the acquisition funnel to identify the major drop-offs if any, and try to optimize it.
