What if you have an existing DAU of 1000, with no previous retention data, how will you use this to forecast DAU?
Similarly, 80 users used the product for the first time on 1st September. > Typo. Should be 2nd September.
Superb article! Was asked a quesiton in on eof my interviews : project dau with given info : D1 ret % = 30% D7 ret% = 10% d30 ret % = 2% ; installs on DO = 1000 ( assuming no further new installss on any day) . How can one go about this?
wonderfully put - is there anyway we can use a regression or timeseries forecasting model to make it more scientific?
